The children have loved Serial Mash and they are so eager to read it each week. They have gone from being a group of children that do not like reading aloud to all of them with their hands up and eager to read.
Each week our pupils can't wait until the next Serial Mash chapter comes out. The cliffhangers have given us classes full of engaged readers. Serial Mash has engaged our pupils with literacy and has made reading fun. Not only that, it's a time saver too.
When asked if this activity was something my class would like to add to the Literacy rotations they do each day - it was a resounding "YES please!
