Thank goodness for Purple Mash! Having been surprised by a sudden Level 4 lockdown, it was the first place I turned, knowing that I could post on our class blog, email students and set relevant, challenging tasks for my children. Even better, they can contact me and each other and post photographs and videos of their work. It is intuitive for children to use and I can easily make my own interactive quizzes and give individual feedback. I have responsibility for Computer Science and 2Code and 2Logo provide well-structured steps in a fun environment. The children learn to think methodically in order to solve challenging problems and are delighted when they crack the codes!
The support given by the 2Simple team has been fantastic! No question has been left unanswered and they are more than happy to meet online to show me how to do things if I am unsure.
Purple Mash - for lockdown and beyond!

Purple Mash proved to be a valuable tool during the process of designing and implementing an online tool during recent home-schooling sessions. Teachers were able to assign tasks aligned to curriculum outcomes and most importantly focus on the individual needs and capabilities of students in their class. Teachers could allocate tasks through 2Do and monitor their progress. Feedback to students could be immediate allowing revision or extension apps and tools to be set. Students were encouraged to work with parents and allow a partnership of work to develop. The PDF and remote learning help guides and tutorials were a welcome and valuable resource for both parents and teachers. The video help tutorials linked to each app is invaluable visual tools. Purple Mash is our mainstay at our school for resources. We find it far better to use this portal instead of continually having to download and update apps."

The support from the Purple Mash team has been excellent during the set up process and ongoing support is always available if needed. There is a huge choice of apps available to support all areas of the curriculum. We love using Purple Mash to support learning as it is easy for our younger students to use and engages them fully in core skills while at the same time it is developing their skills in using digital technologies.

Purple Mash has given me a huge range of tools and activities which cover all aspects of the curriculum, in one place. It also provides activities that can easily be adapted and customised to suit each teacher/class. The resources are well organised and easy to find and the scope of work makes it easy to plan and teach the curriculum and to any year level.

Purple Mash has been an invaluable resource in allowing me and staff to confidently and easily embed ICT across the curriculum and bring computing to life. Students of all ages are actively engaged in exciting ICT projects made possible by the wide variety of easy to use tools Purple Mash provides. Everything that a student requires to create high quality work (from publishing to game development) is there!

My Year 5 boys have loved utilising the many varied resources for coding, programming, creating and planning. It is easy for teachers to use, to set tasks for students and then assess their completed work. It can cater for individual differences and differentiation and is a wonderful addition to my resources as a teacher. It allows me to manage the digital curriculum of the boys in an engaging and effective manner. It also allows for their individual creativity within the realms of the task set. Thank you for a fantastic resource.
