How a pioneering international school is using Purple Mash to unite two curricula and put learning at the heart of every lesson.

At Tenby Schools Penang, Purple Mash is doing more than supporting lessons, it’s helping unite two curricula under one shared approach to teaching and learning. With a 1:1 iPad programme in place, the focus isn’t on the technology itself, but on how it enables creativity, collaboration, and deeper thinking across both the international and national schools.

Rather than a rigid rollout, staff were given the freedom to explore the platform first and the result was immediate buy-in. Today, Purple Mash is embedded across different subjects and year groups, with pupils using it daily to plan, create, code, and communicate their ideas.

The impact? More connected teaching, more personalised learning, and a platform that supports the school’s wider mission to develop confident, curious learners.

Each month we highlight a different tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum.
