Did you know that there's a full spelling scheme of work on Purple Mash? It's been carefully designed to allow teachers to deliver the National Curriculum objectives for spelling with confidence. As well as having a key spelling focus each week, the scheme provides various opportunities to revisit, recap and secure taught content.

Through our teaching slides, we provide a fun yet fully immersive approach to the teaching of spelling that's sure to have pupils looking forward to each session. Children learn the spelling rules and then practise writing them in fun ways, giving them great strategies for continuing to learn their spellings at home.
With our scheme, you also gain access to our self-marking, online quizzes too! These quizzes aim to free up teachers' already valuable time by compiling scores and performance data to give a holistic view on an individual's progress.
Every quiz automatically marks itself when completed by a child with data captured in our Data Dashboard. Easily see which spellings they got correct or incorrect and plot progress over time as well as average attainment at a point in the academic year. You can even segment data to show results captured during school time only. All data can be downloaded to a handy Excel format too!
By using the 2Dos feature, teachers are able to schedule a wide array of activities to further the learning of spelling either in school or even at home.
The Purple Mash spelling scheme of work also includes printable dictation worksheets. These are perfect for children to apply their spelling knowledge in context, wither in addition to or instead of a traditional spelling test.
There are dictation worksheets for every year group, for every week of the school year making it easy to have them at your fingertips ready to go!
To make it even easier for teachers, Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check worksheets are included with every weekly spelling session too! These are great for practising spellings at home, or for early morning work.
