2Connect is a tool for concept mapping or to support the writer with planning. The tool gives you the ability to import pictures, sounds, notes and hyper-links. At a simple click of a button the writer can type while looking at their completed concept map. 2Connect can be found in the tools section of Purple Mash by clicking on the 2Connect icon to open the tool.

Women's Day forms part of South Africa's Women's Month and falls on the 9th August each year, commemorating more than 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on 9 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women.

Next week is Valentines Day, arguably one of the most popular days of the year for school going children. It is a day where Love is about the place and there is a palpable excitement. Remote learning has become a part of most people's lives. Parents have become a critical link in effective teaching of our youngsters. Most parents do not come from the Education sector and many of them are not well versed in navigating IT programs and manipulating the tools you are using to teach their children.

We need to be mindful of giving the parents access to information and training and making sure we are clear in our instructions on how to aide their child's learning while learning remotely.
