March 6th-15th marks the 2026 edition of British Science Week. For ten days, people of all ages will be taking part in engaging events and activities coordinated by the British Science Association to celebrate science, technology, engineering and math. We've compiled some resources and cool Purple Mash activities for you to check out!
Throughout British Science Week, teachers, STEM professionals, science communicators and the general public alike are provided a platform to produce and participate in events celebrating STEM.
This year’s theme is ‘Curiosity: What's your question?’ where children can come up with questions to investigate. We've put together a free resource pack to help promote participation in British Science Week. Enjoy access to a range of activities that answer intriguing questions!
The British Science Association have also produced a range of Activity packs which have been created with the support of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

This is a great topic for younger children to investigate. The ClickView videos help to explain the process, and then there is a digital template or printable worksheet to complete.
Create some great sounds experiment after using some of these resources to introduce the question:
Follow the journey that food makes and explore the digestive system with these resources.
Look further afield into the solar system with this investigative question which explores the phases of the Moon.
