Charity football matches for teachers
Bring Your School Community Together Through Football and Support Youth Mental Well-Being
EduFootyAid is a nationwide movement that brings teachers, school staff and local communities together through friendly football matches — all to raise awareness and funds for youth mental health. Since 2018, over 300 teachers have taken part, raising more than £20,000 for mental health charities across the UK.
Any school in the UK can get involved, and hosting a match is a simple, meaningful and powerful way to open up conversations around mental fitness.
What is EduFootyAid?
EduFootyAid invites schools to run testimonial-style football matches that put community, connection and well-being at the forefront. Host schools receive a ready-to-use assembly pack filled with research, resources and conversation starters about sport and mental health, plus the option to run a whole-school ‘Wear Your Shirt for Well-Being Day’, where pupils donate £1 to wear their favourite sports shirt while raising awareness and funds for youth mental health charities.

How Hosting a Match Works
Hosting an EduFootyAid match is straightforward: simply get in touch by emailing ladderup@nxtlevelsportsed.co.uk with your preferred date and school details, form your teacher squad and invite a neighbouring school, and share the player sign-up link where each participant contributes £30 (including an exclusive EduFootyAid shirt).
NXT Ladder Up and 2Simple will support with promotion, logistics and photography on the day, and after the match you can share your story for wider celebration. You’ll also receive everything you need to run a follow-up ‘Wear Your Shirt for Well-Being Day’ to keep conversations about mental fitness going long after the final whistle.
