In October, Black History Month will be explored across the country. It’s a time for our young learners to immerse themselves in the annual commemoration to find out about the significant contributions and achievements of the black community in the UK.

Our young learners live in an exciting, rich multicultural United Kingdom, understanding the past from a human perspective will help us all to continue to move future generations positively forward.

Black History Month 2026

The theme for Black History Month UK this year is 'Honouring Our Communities' and aims to 'recognise the individuals whose everyday contributions shape, support and sustain Black life across the United Kingdom' - Black History Month.
