Create Pictograms with 2Count

Purple Mash pictogram tool 2Count is a versatile tool that lets you create pictograms to represent all kinds of items, from favourite colours to foods eaten and everything in between, in just a few clicks.

Create Simple Pictograms

In simple mode children can:

• Choose from a ready-made counting theme ranging from Minibeasts to Bears, Cars and Weather.
• Edit or make their own theme using the clipart picker
• Easily adjust the text and background colours to support accessibility
• Change the number of columns
  

Create Advanced Pictograms

Advanced mode brings even more capabilities, such as:

• Selecting appropriate counting systems, or what each image represents in numerical value
• Ordering columns
• Sorting data
• Manipulating what is visible on the charting area, such as showing and hiding the scale or key and adding row shading to support counting.

Ready-Made Pictogram Activities in 2Count

Choose from a range of programmes to help your class collect, record and interpret data by creating and analysing pictograms:

• Minibeast 2Count – How many minibeasts did you find? Children can go on a minibeast hunt and count how many of each minibeast they find. They can then enter their results into the pictogram.
• 2Count Vegetables – Find out which vegetables are the most popular. Children can ask each class member which vegetable is their favourite from the list and record the results in the pictogram.
• Transport 2Count – Children can look out of the window for 10 minutes and record how many of each type of transport they see. They can then display their findings in the pictogram.
• 2Count Dice – Children can record which number lands most often when a die is rolled 30 times.
• Minibeasts 2Count Program – Children can analyse and interpret the results of a minibeast survey displayed in a 2Count pictogram.
