Enter the Purple Chip competition!

We're excited to launch a competition to showcase our new app: Purple Chip. When used in conjunction with our 2Code Purple Chip tool on Purple Mash, it allows students to control an external device (a phone or tablet) from code that has been written in and run from within Purple Mash. What you can win

The winning school will win:

The winning pupil will win:

The three runners up will win:

  • A 2Simple goody bag

The winner and runners up will also have their entries added to 2Code as examples for other schools to see.

How it works

The competition is aimed primarily at children in Years 5 and 6, although it is open to all children in Key Stage 2. It is also open to children up to the age of 18 who attend SEND provision or have additional needs. Children can enter by submitting their code to the Purple Chip Display Board. Please see the video on how to do this.

If your school doesn't have a Purple Mash account you can still enter by signing up for an extended free trial here.

When you can enter

The competition opens on Monday 5th June and runs until 5pm GMT on Friday 7th July.

Visit the Purple Chip Competition area on Purple Mash here to find all the information you need, including a competition overview, a poster to encourage pupils to take part and a range of examples to inspire pupils.

Purple Chip resources

Once they have completed their coded program, your pupils just need to click "share" and select the Display Board for their age group, it’s as simple as that!
