Our Games Design competition is back! The 2026 Purple Mash Games Design Competition will give children the opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills in teams of 6 to create a game with the theme of Planet Protectors.

2DIY 3D, the game creation tool from Purple Mash, has been updated! Explore new creative tools, 3D elements and coding features that bring pupil-made games to life.

Are you a Year 6 teacher with a class full of gamers? This year, when there is no Purple Mash Games Design competition, we are excited to signpost gamers in your classroom to BAFTA’s Young Game Design competition. BAFTA’s annual competition aims to inspire and support those who are passionate about games.

Our Games Design competition is now closed. Thank-you to all schools who entered. We had lots of fantastic entries on the theme of Around the World, and our finalists will soon be presenting their games at the Amazon offices in London.
