Purple Mash is an online learning platform designed for primary schools, with digital tools, ready-made resources and curriculum content across a wide range of subjects. Teachers can use Purple Mash to plan lessons, set work, support creativity, assess learning and give pupils opportunities to practise and apply their skills.

Can Purple Mash be used across the curriculum?

Yes. While Purple Mash is well known for its Computing resources, it can be used across the primary curriculum. Teachers can find resources and activities for English, maths, science, history, geography, art, music and more, alongside creative tools that allow pupils to demonstrate their learning in different ways.

Is Purple Mash suitable for UKS2?

Absolutely! Activities increase in difficulty as children get older, but with the same great Purple Mash support. Pupils in years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to apply their skills to industry-standard software, including Google Docs & Sheets, Microsoft Word & Excel, and Apple Pages & Numbers. Similarly, pupils lower down the school, in year 3, can create presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Apple Keynote.

There are also additional, optional units in binary, coding external devices, micro:bits and robotics to extend children further. To go even further, teachers and pupils have access to Python in Pieces to begin learning the Python coding language.
