Blog

As the new academic year approaches, we wanted to share with you some useful links we know will help you and your colleagues get started in 2026/27. In the post we'll cover account set up for Purple Mash admins, including data syncing and adding new classes; plus, we'll share useful tools and teacher resources to help you feel prepared at the start of the new year.

Save time and stress by using our Mash Club for your extra-curricular club. Mash Club is an after-school computing club aimed at KS2 students with three terms of 8 self-guided sessions, where your pupils will learn to code and blog.

In 2025, Diwali takes place on Monday 20th October. We invite your class to get involved and celebrate light and colour with these Purple Mash activities.

Each month we highlight a #MashoftheMonth, focusing on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag!

This January the Mash of the Month is 2Blog.

The Mash of the Month for June is Serial Mash, our online library for reading and comprehension that inspires children to read. This month we are launching our #SerialMashSummer Reading Challenge.
