World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th, is a global event organized by the United Nations to raise awareness about environmental issues. The theme for 2026 is #NowForClimate, focusing climate change. In this blog, we offer a variety of activities and resources to help schools participate in #NowForClimate.

The Purple Mash Computing Scheme gives primary schools everything they need to confidently teach Computing from EYFS to Year 6. On March 3rd, it is World Wildlife Day, a time to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants. The theme for World Wildlife Day 2024 is ‘Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation’, and the focus is on how digital conservation technologies can help wildlife conservation. There’s a wide range of educational resources available within Purple Mash that support the theme that you can use to celebrate World Wildlife Day.

Each month we highlight a different tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. We call this the Mash of the Month, this month it's our Multiplication Tables Check.
