Getting your children reading during the summer holidays can sometimes seem like an extra job - an additional cost on top of days out and endless snacks, or like school is creeping into their leisure time. But summer reading doesn't have to feel like homework! From audiobooks and family reading time to library visits and reading on days out, here are 15 easy and fun ways to encourage children to keep reading at home and throughout the summer holidays.

We're celebrating National Pet Month from 1st April to 2nd May. It's all about raising awareness for pet welfare and spreading the word about responsible pet ownership. We were recently lucky enough to be invited to Sunnyfields, a lovely one form entry primary school in North London to see how the 2Simple Centre for Excellence school use Purple Mash across the curriculum. With their high usage across subject areas and outstanding teaching of computing, we knew this would be a great place to visit.
