We have launched a new competition for 2026, which is now open as of the 18th of May! The Tracklab Competition give's Year 6 students the opportunity to showcase their creativity and musical skills in teams of 2-6 to create a song about their time at Primary School.

Earlier this year, 2Simple commissioned an independent research review to identify the extent to which Purple Mash supports the aims and requirements of the National Curriculum for Computing, and how it delivers on our aim to provide excellent, accessible and inspiring software which encourages children to love learning, raises standards and reduces teacher workload. 20th March 2020, was the last day of school for many, as children, teachers and parents began a new way of learning at home. Schools have never been closed and many have remained open during holidays in order to support their local communities.

Schools that were Purple Mash subscribers began using it to support home learning and started to realise its potential as a fully cross curricular resource. Teachers have been contacting us to tell us about the engagement they have had from children and parents, the ease of use, safety features and the wide range of activities that they’re setting for their children.

At 2Simple we want to help by raising awareness of International Literacy Day and the importance of young people gaining those valuable literacy and language skills that are needed throughout life.

Here we look at just some of the resources available within Purple Mash that can help young learners engage with literacy and enjoy it for life.

World Music day is an annual celebration of all things music which takes place in over 125 countries and 1000 cities across the world on 21st June every year.
