This year National Coding Week runs from 19th to 25th September. There are a number of ways that schools can get involved: run a coding challenge for students, take part in the Digital skills Challenge or showcase how you are supporting coding in the school.

EU Code Week is a grassroots initiative which aims to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way. Learning to code helps us make sense of the rapidly changing world around us and the EU Code Week website has a range of resources and toolkits for teachers to help you get started. This year #CodeWeek runs from 9th-24th October.

National Coding Week is a volunteer-led organisation aiming to help build people’s confidence and skills by encouraging volunteers to run fun and engaging digital events. This year the week runs from September 14th-20th and there are a number of ways that schools can get involved. Mash Club is a pack of resources for running a computing coding club at your school using Purple Mash tools. Currently, this includes an eight-week course on Coding and Blogging using 2Code and 2Blog. With schools being only partially open, it was great to hear from one parent on how he had used Mash Club with his Year 2 Pupils.
