This year National Coding Week runs from 19th to 25th September. There are a number of ways that schools can get involved: run a coding challenge for students, take part in the Digital skills Challenge or showcase how you are supporting coding in the school.

EU Code Week is a grassroots initiative which aims to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way. Learning to code helps us make sense of the rapidly changing world around us and the EU Code Week website has a range of resources and toolkits for teachers to help you get started. This year #CodeWeek runs from 9th-24th October.

Computer Science education week is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hooper; this year the week runs from December 7-13. Python in Pieces would be a perfect resource to use for #HourOfCode. Transition your students from block-based coding to Python with guided lessons, open-ended activities and the ability to translate block-code to Python in both directions.
