The Purple Mash Festive Card Competition gave children the chance to design the official 2Simple festive card on any festive theme they wanted. In less than 3 weeks we received over 8,000 entries from schools worldwide across four age groups, and a school staff category. Thank you to everyone who took part. Purple Mash is celebrating International Museum Day with a partnership with School of Noise, check out the new resources which link science and sound.

We are celebrating the work of the NHS and the dedication and hard work of all as we celebrate International Nurses Day. One of the first pioneers of Nursing was Florence Nightingale who was born on the 12th May 1820, on the 200th anniversary of her birth, the work Florence Nightingale did resonates with us now more than ever. Florence’s ideas and actions changed nursing forever.

We're celebrating National Pet Month from 1st April to 2nd May. It's all about raising awareness for pet welfare and spreading the word about responsible pet ownership. In this blog, as well as looking at some Purple Mash resources you can use during this time, we also meet some of the pets of 2Simple.

The YIVO Institute for Jewish Research is based in New York City and represents the single largest and most comprehensive collection of materials on East European Jewish civilization in the world.
