The Mash of the Month for April is Purple Chip, our app which allows students to control an external device using code created in Purple Mash's 2Code Purple Chip tool.

Join in with the Geographical Association's National Festival of Fieldwork throughout the month of June with resources on Purple Mash. This year's theme is 'Fieldwork for Everyone' which links to their 2024 Conference, and is a flexible and adaptable theme.

Ada Lovelace Day celebrates the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Held on the second Tuesday in October every year, in 2026 it is celebrated on the 13th of October. VE day or Victory in Europe day marks the day when the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. The announcement that the war in Europe had ended came at 3pm on 8th May 1945, by Prime Minister Winston Churchill. There are several activities within Purple Mash that can be used by children to commemorate VE Day.
