June 2026

  • A new 'Print as Worksheet' button was added to the pop-up when opening a resource, making it even easier to print online templates as worksheets.
  • Two FIFA World Cup Competitions were launched.
  • The Games Design Competition final was held at Amazon HQ in London.

May 2026

  • The Purple Mash AI add-on was expanded to include AI functionality in 2Publish, which allows teachers to adapt writing templates to add differentiated support.
  • The Year 6 Tracklab competition was launched.
  • A free Governor Pack was added to the website to help school leaders guide new governors.

April 2026

  • The Parent Portal was updated, making it even easier for parents to engage with their child's learning.
  • Teacher Packs of comprehension resources were added to the Purple Mash Library.
  • 2Connect was updated with new features, including a scrolling canvas.
  • 8 standalone micro:bit projects were added to the computing area of Purple Mash.

March 2026

  • The Purple Mash award-winning online safety scheme, 2BeSafe was updated to include mentions of AI and conspiracy theories where appropriate.
  • Resources for Maz Evans' Who Let the Gods Out? were added to the Resources for Popular Texts area in Purple Mash.

February 2026

  • We held our first Facebook Live, with Ben & Dawn speaking about Safer Internet Day.
  • New British Sign Language resources were added to Purple Mash from Signature, as a 'stepping stone' to their full School of Signs curriculum.

January 2026

  • Purple Mash Library was added to Purple Mash (at no extra cost), to celebrate the National Year of Reading and encourage reading for pleasure.
  • New SATs Skills resources were added to Purple Mash, including 10 practice maths papers, as well as poetry reading papers. There is also a free KS2 SATs pack for non-subscribers to use.

December 2025

  • Purple Day resources were launched - a fundraising day that schools can run in order to raise money for computing resources.
  • The Group Working feature was launched on Purple Mash, allowing up to 6 children to work on one device.

November 2025

  • The third series of our educational workbooks launched in Lidl and online, containing characters from Peanuts, Angry Birds, and Wallace & Gromit.
  • Parent Information Guides for different subjects were added to Purple Mash.
  • A Climate Action Plan Toolkit was added to Purple Mash to support schools in their sustainability and climate responsibility journey. A Climate Action Pack for Primary Schools is also available to download free for non-subscribers.
  • The Festive Card Competition was launched, and winners announced.

October 2025

  • Purple Mash AI was launched, allowing teachers with the add on to create curriculum-aligned quizzes in seconds.
  • New Online Safety information documents for parents were added to Purple Mash.

  • The AI Toolkit was added to Purple Mash, and a free version made available to download as an AI Pack for Schools.
  • Cody started his very own blog inside Purple Mash, to let children know about new additions and all the latest competitions!
  • Three full terms of Mash Club were added - a whole year of a fully-resourced computing club.
  • Even more units of work were added to the Refreshed and Refined Computing Scheme.
